Road Closure
Happy Monday!
At last week's REAN meeting, the City of Groveport announced, and then followed up in an email, the following:
Please be advised of upcoming roadway improvements at the intersection of Hamilton Road (SR 317) and Williams Road that may temporarily affect travel to your business.
As part of a joint project between the City of Columbus, the City of Groveport, and ODOT, the northbound left-turn lane on Hamilton Road at Williams Road will be extended to improve traffic flow and intersection safety.
To complete this work, Hamilton Road (SR 317) will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, through 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to allow additional travel time when accessing the area.
Following completion of the project, the traffic signal will be updated so that northbound left turns onto Williams Road will operate as protected left-turn movements only, enhancing safety and reducing the potential for crashes.
